Where is Hooshga

TDP_2106Relationships continue to progress with key leaders from Compassion International and Joni and Friends as Hooshga has been making great first impressions. IC Orphans pursued Compassion International because of their emphasis on local church partnership, which is central to IC Orphans mission to “serve gospel focused churches as they care for orphans and vulnerable children”. Feedback from Compassion led to practical steps for product testing on the ministry field. Hooshga’s first trial run was in India where the response was staggering. The wordless picture Bible had not only proven to be affective with children, but also provided a means for sharing the gospel with illiterate adults in vulnerable conditions.

After delivering a Hooshga package to a church relations coordinator for Joni and Friends, Hooshga made an unexpected visit to their corporate office for more introductions. Impressed by Hooshga and his mission to reach out to orphans and vulnerable children with the Good News message led them to include him on their trip to El Salvador. Hooshga’s friendship with Joni and Friends continues to grow as both have a heart to help children, like Libby, who are living with a disability.
